Design Thinking

how we use DESIGN THINKING IN our COACHING

A cornerstone in tech development, Design Thinking is a process used to understand the user, challenge assumptions, and redefine problems to identify alternative strategies and solutions that might not be immediately apparent with our initial level of understanding in life.

Now replace the words Design Thinking with Coaching and User with Client, and read that sentence again.

ALL GREAT INNOVATORS USE DESIGN THINKING

Design Thinking is not an exclusive property of designers—all great innovators in literature, art, music, science, engineering, and business have practiced it. Over a period of 10 years, design-driven companies have outperformed the S&P index by 228%. In coaching, Design Thinking ethics are about placing the human client at the center of the process, with unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity.

LEARNING HOW TO ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS

In tech circles, Design Thinking revolves around a deep interest in understanding the people we’re designing products or services for. It helps us observe and develop empathy with the target user and reframes the problem in human-centric ways. In the process, we become better at questioning the problem, questioning the assumptions, and questioning the implications.
